Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?
There’s no strict dress code — but “semi-formal” is perhaps the best reference point. (Will will be wearing a suit and tie & Maddie will be wearing a wedding dress.)
***Bring comfortable walking shoes for the ceremony. We’ll be outside.
WHERE IS THE WEDDING?
Ceremony: Kitchens/Wessels family home at 16 Seaview Lane, Bauline, Newfoundland.
Dinner & Party: Bauline Community Centre at 2 Memorial Park Pl, Bauline, Newfoundland.
HOW DO I GET TO THE WEDDING?
Bus
We have a bus scheduled for guests who don’t have rental cars and require transportation.
The bus will pick up guests near the Sheraton Hotel in downtown St. John’s and head to Bauline, with additional pick-ups for people staying in Pouch Cove and Flatrock as needed. Buses will then return to St. John’s via Pouch Cove and Flatrock. The first will depart around 11 PM and the second will follow at 1/1:30 AM.
Driving
For the Dinner & Party, there is plenty of parking available at the Bauline Community Centre. (Map here.)
WHAT ABOUT GIFTS?
We’re touched by everyone’s willingness to travel to Newfoundland for our wedding — it’s a significant expense and time commitment. As such, we do not expect gifts of any kind, and we do not have a registry.
However, we are saving up for our honeymoon in 2026. If you would like to contribute to our honeymoon fund, you can do so by e-transfer to maddieandwillgetmarried@gmail.com
We are immensely grateful for any contributions, but please do not feel obligated in any way.
